Horizon Europe project Re-Place – Reframing non-metropolitan left behind places through mobility and alternative development – the annual consortium meeting in Riga
The 2024 consortium meeting in the Re-place project was held on 18-19 April in Riga, hosted by the University of Latvia, Faculty of Geography and Earth Sciences, the Latvian Re-Place partner. The meeting was an opportunity to overview what was accomplished in the project so far and, at the same time, to plan ahead, for the upcoming activities. The local human development index (LHDI), calculated for each of the six countries represented in the project and the first results of the Re-Place survey were presented. In preparation of the qualitative research, set to begin in June, time was dedicated to ample discussions on the selection of case study areas, two in each country, visual methods to be used in the research, and the development of the guide for the interviews to be conducted with stakeholders in the selected areas.
