Alexandra is a member of the Institute’s team since 2014. In 2015, she finished her PhD in Sociology at the University of Bucharest, with a thesis focusing on the use of migration as discursive resource for identity construction in the case of low skilled migrants from Romania to Spain and Italy. Her work is centered on Romanian migration, but also includes topics related to identity construction, most of the times associated with experiences of international mobility. Alexandra’s experience with qualitative methods is extensive, but she also worked with quantitative data.

Research interests: migration, identity, qualitative methods, narrative analysis.
